@brad_polumbo If it's a high-security mental institution with the same level of security as a high security prison, and if it's a life sentence without the possibility of parole, then I could be okay with it.
@wil_da_beast630 I don't know what level of agency she had, but she's demonstrated she's not safe to be around other humans, especially children. You shouldn't get a second chance to murder other people, especially children.
@JohnHMcWhorter@kmele I think it's important to remember you're not necessarily responding directly to the Jmele Hills of the world. They're incorrigible. The response is for people with some capability of independent thought who might not be as informed as you on the topic.
@ryangrim The development of the joint stock company is one of the reasons we don't all live in Spanish style encomiendas with a lord governing all of our actions.
@GreenBastard44@coldxman Yes, but I meant it's not working to teach basic history, economics, and reasoning skills. It IS working to teach a neo-medievalist worldview and primitive reasoning skills.
@pairadocsical@coldxman I watched this play out in Vietnam with my own eyes. Almost everyone I met was an entrepeneur of some sort. Teachers and doctors were also landlords. Landlords were importing and exporting. Engineers also had also started up restaurants, etc.
@jonatanpallesen Towards the end of the debate, there's a conflation between language expressive ability and full acquisition of one's native language. There is variability in the former, but no variablity in the latter between native speakers of the same dialect, no matter I.Q. levels.
@clairlemon If not entirely moronic, it's ignorant to conflate heritability and innateness of traits....listen again, his view is more nuanced than what's being presented here.
@ggreenwald As though we can't distinguish between an attack based on mistaken identity (and as though it would make any sense at all for Israel to "deliberately" attack the U.S.) and a deliberate attack.
