This is a super exciting release - Claude Fable 5 is the same underlying model as Mythos but with added safeguards. The benchmarks are great and it's SOTA on everything by a margin but I'll add that *qualitatively* also, this is a major-version-bump-deserving step change forward (imo of the same order as Claude 4.5 was in November), peaking especially for long problem-solving sessions on very difficult problems. You can give it a lot more ambitious tasks than what you're used to, the model "gets it" and it will just go, and it's never felt this tempting to stop looking at the code at all (but don't do this in prod!). The model still has quirks that people will run into and the safeguards are configured to be a little too trigger happy for launch, which can hopefully be tuned over time.

I feel a lot of things changing as working software increasingly comes out on a tap. The Jevon's paradox kicks in and I feel my own demand for software growing substantially. You can ask for anything - explainers, visualizers, dashboards, bespoke single-use apps (e.g. a full wandb that is hyper-specific just for your project), you can 10X your test suite, auto-optimize code, run giant research projects with custom HTML for the results, anything! "Free your mind" (Matrix ref). Really looking forward to all the things people build!

🧵 Terrorismo de Estado que destruyó a una familia inocente y su hacienda
La Hacienda San Luis, en Valencia (Carabobo), era el hogar de la familia Alayeto Bigott / Ochoa Alayeto. Tenía una mansión, caballerizas y un circuito de motocross.
El 6 de agosto del 2017, horas antes del asalto al Fuerte Paramacay, unos militares rebeldes alquilaron la discoteca de la hacienda. La DGCIM irrumpió sin orden judicial y detuvo a Jorge Enrique Alayeto Bigott (civil, doble nacionalidad) y a su sobrino Alfonso Ochoa Alayeto. Los acusaron de estar vinculados al hecho (financiamiento y grabación del asalto) y los torturaron en Boleíta. Alfonso salió con secuelas; Jorge sigue preso.
Un contingente militar ocupó la hacienda más de 8 meses con las consignas:

“Quien entra no sale”
“El que sale no entra”

Saquearon y destruyeron todo. Dejaron atrapada y sin medicamentos a la tía Evelyn ( con diabetes y esquizofrenia) . La madre y la abuela murieron sin volver. La tía falleció en 2020. Al final, demolieron lo que quedaba.
Jorge fue condenado a 30 años en abril del 2026 por un tribunal militar. Lleva casi 9 años preso en Tocuyito.
Castigo colectivo y destrucción deliberada de una familia inocente.

They let him choke on his own blood. No urgency. No humanity. Just cold, ideological policing.

Months later? Still no names. Still no suspensions. Still no accountability.

Meanwhile, the same UK police have arrested over 12,000 people for social media posts.

They move at lightning speed to jail citizens for tweets and online comments, yet they can’t even name or discipline the officers who allegedly let a stabbing victim die in handcuffs on the street.

This is the definition of two-tier policing: aggressive against ordinary people speaking online, but protective when it comes to their own failures and protecting the narrative.

The British people deserve real justice, not another cover-up.
