#WATCH | Patna: On the absence of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge from Red Fort today, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari says, "When I arrived at the Red Fort this morning, my eyes were constantly fixed on a specific spot, the area where chairs are set up for key figures. Since he is the Leader of the Opposition, a special chair is arranged for Rahul Gandhi. Yet, neither Rahul Gandhi nor Mallikarjun Kharge arrived; Sonia Gandhi didn't show up either. Meanwhile, back at their party office, the Vande Mataram was being sung. When the rendition reached the lines, 'Koti-koti-kantha-kalakala-ninada-karale' and 'Tumi-hi-pratima-Gaurhi-mandire-mandire', Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge appeared visibly uncomfortable. There was a flurry of activity and gestures; someone must have pointed out, saying, 'It has already started; stopping it now would cause a massive embarrassment'... This attitude speaks volumes. Criticize PM Modi as much as you want, abuse Manoj Tiwari all you please, but please, this is my plea, do not insult the country."
We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as also for the larger West Asian region. We hope that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.
