Pamela Staker

Chicago based artist — abstract painter — in love with color, shape and gestural mark making.

[Pamela Staker @pamelastaker]

I remember making this piece, but looking back, I still wonder, “How did I do it?” When I paint, I am entirely immersed in the present moment, like it is a different dimension--magical, even when it's a struggle.

I've been commissioned to do a large dimensional #painting based on this small 3-d sketch. This exercise has been on my todo list forever. I am VERY excited to be going down this road. Stay tuned...

I've really enjoyed working on this new commission and am probably 98% of the way there. Just a few more tweaks, and I will call him finished. This bad boy will be crated and freighted off to his new home very soon. #contemporarypainting #abstractpainting #largescalepainting

I love the natural world, but sometimes it's no more than a battle for survival.

@JonErlichman I had a home computer in 1994 with a prodigy dial-up account (baud rate of 2400) that took around 40 minutes to download one graphic. Pure geek.

A beautiful release video from Bat World Bulgaria. 🥰 This is a long eared bat that was rescued and rehabilitated after suffering a fall and knocking himself unconscious! 🦇

[Andrew Weinstein @AWeinstein]

It took almost 245 years for this to happen. It’s about time.

@GemLeighton That is a legit WONDERFUL painting.

[Heather Cox Richardson (TDPR) @HC_Richardson]

Pure joy.
