A man who punched and shook a baby into blindness is out after about four years and COMPLAINING that his own life is hard. He's also demanding THIS mugshot disappear - how about "hell no"?!?!

Connor James Hume was 18 when he struck the infant in the head and shook the child so hard the baby nearly d*ed. Durham Crown Court heard the blows caused a front-right haematoma that needed emergency surgery.

Judge James Adkin said in April 2021, “A perfectly well baby is now blind in both eyes, has cerebral palsy due to brain damage and requires constant 24-hour care.” A jury convicted Hume of causing or allowing serious physical harm to a child.

He got eight years and ten months and was due to serve half on licence. The UK Database says he has now written in saying he is struggling, has little support, and cannot see a future.

He also objects to his mugshot circulating and says he has been punished and wants to move on. The child’s carer told the court a healthy, carefree life was robbed from that baby.

Hume is free to send emails. That child still needs 24-hour care.
