I used PopClip with Bob for selected-text translation. After moving to a new Mac, I couldn’t find my original license email, so I was back on the free trial.

Then I found OpenClip, an open-source alternative to PopClip, and built a small extension to keep using Bob. It’s now in the official extension store!

Here’s a quick demo. Thanks to the OpenClip maintainer @pandannzo for welcoming it 🙌

我之前花了 12 美元买过 PopClip，包含两年的更新。换 Mac 后，找不到当年接收 license 的邮件了，新电脑上只能先用免费试用版。

后来找到了它的开源平替 OpenClip，顺手写了个小插件，继续用熟悉的 Bob 做划词翻译。现在已经被官方插件商店收录了！
