This morning on my commute to work I did not need to stop or slow for any cars or people. I did however need to carefully navigate around a flock of geese and one reindeer who was staring me down as it pissed in the middle of the road.
Five years ago today I drove over the bridge to Tromsรธ listening to Uummannaq Song by KT Tunstall, and five cold years later I am still there, and hoping to head for home soon. ๐ง๐ป
Just completed my 60th monthly swim on my Arctic swimming beach, 5 wonderful continuous years through sunshine, rain, snow, midnight sun, polar night and aurora, on my own and with friends.
Missed my one dance move per month for July, trying to catch up. It's hard to find simple but learnable moves. This is a one-take hair flip, because I can't manage anything else.
I was standing in line to buy a softis when Even from Skam (well, I guess Henrik Holm) walked up to the counter and started pulling out tons of napkins exactly like when he took all the paper towels. Still not sure I wasn't imagining things, but Moose saw him too! #skam#evak
YEEEESSSSS I got one of Matt Gray's Postal Surprises and am still bouncing with excitement! Thank you Matt! At 69ยฐ38'N, inside the Arctic Circle, maybe this one reached furthest north? @MattGrayYES
How to really enjoy the rain:
1. Stand at the window (inside)
2. Put non-tea drinking hand on hip
3. Sip tea from mug
4. Say โlook at that rainโ or โitโs really coming down nowโ
5. Ask someone else if itโs raining where they are
6. Say the garden needs it
7. Eat all the biscuits
As usual, my new dance move got left until the last day of the month, and this time my back is completely screwed up. So here is my attempt at waacking, which basically seems to be Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes without the toes. Music: Lights, Ellie Goulding/Speed Radio
