10 हजारांहून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांनी साकारल्या पर्यावरणपूरक गणेशमूर्ती, महाराष्ट्राचा विश्वविक्रम!

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी आज नवी मुंबई येथे महाराष्ट्र सरकारच्या 'पर्यावरण व वातावरणीय बदल विभाग' आयोजित 'महा गणेशमूर्ती कार्यशाळा 2026' या पर्यावरणपूरक शाडू मातीच्या मूर्ती निर्मिती उपक्रमाचे उदघाटन केले.

गणेशमूर्तीच्या भव्यतेपेक्षा भक्ती आणि पर्यावरण संवर्धनाला अधिक महत्त्व असून, गणेशोत्सवासारखा सांस्कृतिक वारसा जपणारा सण पर्यावरणपूरक पद्धतीने साजरा करणे ही आपल्या प्रत्येकाची जबाबदारी आहे, असे प्रतिपादन मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी यावेळी केले.

‘महा गणेशमूर्ती या भव्य कार्यशाळेत एकाच वेळी तब्बल 10,000 हून अधिक विद्यार्थ्यांनी शाडूच्या मातीपासून पर्यावरणपूरक गणेशमूर्तींची निर्मिती करून ‘गिनीज वर्ल्ड रेकॉर्ड्स’मध्ये महाराष्ट्राच्या नावावर सुवर्ण अक्षरांनी नवा विक्रम नोंदवला.

मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस म्हणाले, गणराया ही बुद्धीची देवता असून, आपल्या संस्कृतीत पर्यावरणाला अनन्यसाधारण महत्त्व आहे. सृष्टीची निर्मिती करणाऱ्या पंचमहाभूतांचे रक्षण झाले तरच मानवी जीवन सुरक्षित राहू शकते. मूर्ती लहान असो वा मोठी, भक्ती सारखीच असते. ईश्वराचा आशीर्वाद हा मूर्तीच्या आकारावर नव्हे, तर आपण पर्यावरण आणि समाजाची किती निःस्वार्थ सेवा करतो यावर ठरतो. त्यामुळे मोठ्या गणेशमूर्ती, प्लास्टर ऑफ पॅरिस आणि कृत्रिम रंगांमुळे जलस्रोतांचे होणारे नुकसान टाळावे, असे आवाहन मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी केले.

गिनीज वर्ल्ड रेकॉर्ड्सच्या परीक्षकांनी निकाल जाहीर करताच मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस यांनी या यशाचे खरे शिलेदार सहभागी विद्यार्थी असल्याचे सांगत त्यांचे कौतुक केले.

यावेळी मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे, मंत्री गणेश नाईक, आमदार रवींद्र फाटक, आमदार मंदा म्हात्रे, नवी मुंबईच्या महापौर सुजाता पाटील व अन्य मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

🔸Inauguration of 'Maha Ganesh Murti Workshop 2026', an eco-friendly initiative for making idols from Shadu clay at the hands of CM Devendra Fadnavis, organised by the Environment and Climate Change Department, Government of Maharashtra.
Minister Pankaja Munde, Minister Ganesh Naik, MLC Ravindra Phatak, MLA Manda Mhatre, Navi Mumbai Mayor Sujata Patil and other dignitaries were present.

🔸मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांच्या हस्ते महाराष्ट्र सरकारच्या 'पर्यावरण व वातावरणीय बदल विभाग' आयोजित 'महा गणेशमूर्ती कार्यशाळा 2026' या पर्यावरणपूरक शाडू मातीच्या मूर्ती निर्मिती उपक्रमाचे उदघाटन.
यावेळी मंत्री पंकजा मुंडे, मंत्री गणेश नाईक, आमदार रवींद्र फाटक, आमदार मंदा म्हात्रे, नवी मुंबईच्या महापौर सुजाता पाटील व अन्य मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.

Glad to inaugurate the 'Maha Ganesh Murti Workshop 2026', an eco-friendly initiative for making idols from Shadu clay, organised by the Environment and Climate Change Department.

It is a matter of great pride to have made a Ganesh Murti with my own hands using natural Shadu clay and to see students come together in large numbers to create their own Murtis was truly special. Their creativity and devotion have not only brought beautiful Murtis to life but have also conveyed a strong message of environmental conservation. It is equally special that this initiative has been recorded in the Guinness World Records.

Ganapati is the God of wisdom and every auspicious occasion begins by invoking Bappa. Ganeshotsav is not only a celebration of faith and tradition but also an opportunity to reconnect with the Panchmahabhutas, nature and the soil from which these Murtis are made.

Our faith in Bappa is deeply rooted in devotion and emotion. Let that faith also inspire us to care for the environment. An appeal to the people of Maharashtra to choose Ganesh Murtis made from clay and encourage others to do the same.
