🔹सिक्की घास शिल्प एक प्रकार की हस्तकला है जो बिहार के मिथिला क्षेत्र में पाई जाने वाली एक विशेष प्रकार की घास 'सिक्की घास' से बनाई जाती है।

🔹इन घासों को बरसात के मौसम में काटकर इकट्ठा किया जाता है और फिर धूप में सुखाया जाता है, जिससे ये सुनहरे रंगों में बदल जाती हैं।

🔹सिक्की घास को रंगने के लिए इसे विभिन्न प्रकार के रंगों में उबाला जाता है।

🔹सिक्की घास शिल्प से टोकरियाँ, बक्से, देवता और मानव की आकृतियाँ, खिलौने, पशु और पक्षी जैसी विभिन्न प्रकार की वस्तुएँ बनाई जाती हैं। इसे एक विशेष प्रकार की सुई जिसे 'तुकुया' कहा जाता है, की मदद से बनाया जाता है।

🔹सिक्की घास शिल्प को भारत सरकार ने 2007 में भौगोलिक संकेत (जी.आई.) टैग प्रदान किया।

✴️ Sikki Grass Craft

🔹Sikki Grass Craft is a type of handicraft that is made from Sikki grass, a special type of grass found in Mithila region of Bihar.

🔹These grasses are collected during the rainy season and then dried, which convert them into golden fibre.

🔹The coloring of Sikki grasses is achieved by boiling them in different colors until the desired shade is reached.

🔹In Sikki Grass craft, varieties of articles such as baskets, boxes, gods and human figures, toys, animals and birds are made. It is made with the help of a special type of needle called 'Tukuya'.

🔹Government of India granted Geographical Indications (G.I.) tag to Sikki Grass Craft in 2007.
