@daniel_ayuen Talk about conflict of interest and impunity! It’s also bizarre that one thinks a driving license should expire every year. Do they have factory that produces the materials? The last time I checked, the country ran out the materials for producing passports and IDs
@SouthSudanGov , launched the Action Plan on Return, Reintegration & Recovery, supported by UNDP South Sudan, @UN_SouthSudan & other partners. This will improve the coordination of stakeholders to ensure safe, dignified return, integration & recovery for displaced populations.
@EyeRadioJuba Is this about the figure or there is actually liquid money given to the commercial banks for folks to buy at that Bank of South Sudan’s rate?
This is the only Mayor who has tried to keep Konyokonyo clean so far. I hope she goes on to initiate laws that punish those who recklessly go and around polluting the city.
Mayor of Juba City, Flora Gabriel Modi has warned that anyone caught throwing plastic bottles or waste on the roadside will be fined. #eyeradioupdate#SSOX
Information coordination and analysis is key to finding the durable solutions. As a Durable Solutions Specialist, I am delighted with the launching of the National Coordination and Operations Center at RRC today. Thanks @undpsouthsudan@SSOT_tweets
A used to darkness Dog got scared and started barking at the newly installed power lights in Wau town. What excites other scars others. https://t.co/PdjONML2GJ
@metajustin1@AdokGai It’s potential for revenues. You only need regulation to guide the industry so that people who choose to partake do so within the legal framework.
@AdokGai Great move. It’s an industry with huge potential for revenue and dreadful social impacts at the same time. It needs proper regulation. I’m happy such discussions are taking place. Kudos @AdokGai !!
@anyieth27 Nothing that the world does that we do. 1st of all, these were existing positions, yet someone just thought it’s a right thing to advertise all. 2nd, the recruitment company seems to forget that there is long-listing and shortlisting. PR at best!!
@EyeRadioJuba I heard they are interviewing 400 candidates for just one position. How can you honestly get the best minds in this? I think this will be a case study, if indeed they succeeded in this mission.
@AkauJambo They use to pay beers with dollars in the earlier years of 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, etc. That how attitudes of “don’t care about money” originated. Now, they continue to live in illusion when no more money is there.
@EyeRadioJuba This company was only established 10 years ago. There are household names in the oil industry in the USA, if we truly mean business. I think, these are just sideshows.
@modernemeid@aluelb@Delta What a beautiful story! Our footprints are visibly spread throughout the world by geniuses of the kind. She is our pride as a nation. Congratulations to @aluelb !!
As today is #WorldRefugeeDay, we join the world in commemorating the day as we stress that world citizenry is reflected in our actions to create “hope away from home”. This is from SAADO’s 98% staff who were once refugees.
SAADO hosted a team from WFP’s Partnership Unit for a courtesy visit. We discussed a range of topics including Localization, Area based Programming, etc. This is so great as it speaks to meaningful partnerships. Thanks @WFP_SouthSudan
SAADO and @undpsouthsudan hosted high delegation team @NLinSouthSudan to Bor VTC to visit our YEEP bens. The team was impressed by the number of youths absorbed into the job markets. Through the training, three trained ladies got jobs with WFP at their engineering workshop.
Interesting call, as many diaspora come and find themselves rendered useless and start returning to diaspora. Where is that project called “Skills for South Sudan”, if I may ask?
Parliamentary Speaker Jemma Nunu Kumba is calling on South Sudanese in the diaspora to return home and contribute to nation-building now that the country is at peace. #SouthSudan#SSOT
