Oh speaking of Obsession, is it part of the movie that the sound during it is so loud it blew out the speakers a little bit during one of the scary parts or was my theater specifically trying to give me hearing damage?

The bedroom corner scene in Obsession is quite literally the most scared I’ve ever been in my life. I thought my heart was going to stop. Great movie, 10/10.

I’ll never understand why people (consumers, not creators) are so concerned with music and movie reviews etc. why does it matter what other people say about art? Why can’t people just like or not like things without needing justification?

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome)

The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.

Most American prisons are a for-profit system. No private prison warden or corporation will be mad to add the pay to handle another inmate to their paychecks. Send him to one of those and show the biggest prisoner there with kids an article about him and just sit back and watch.

It’s easy to justify the death penalty on clear cut cases like this. Do I feel badly that this particular man will (maybe) be executed? No. Do I feel badly that innocent people can be & are executed due to miscarriages of justice? Yes. That makes the death penalty not worth it.

I understand if her family wants him to die & if one of them personally killed him, I wouldn’t be mad at them but the bottom line is, killing him won’t bring her back so you might was well make his life as terrible as possible and wait for him to die rather than give him an out.

I started a new job as a Project Manager & I went out on the floor to just watch people working to get an idea of the processes, but my new job color coordinates our bump caps to our position & mine means management & I made everyone sooo nervous just menacingly watching them lol

American women can only stay with their babies for 6 weeks before they must return to work. This policy was lobbied by Nestle so that American women are forced to buy formula and don't rely on their own breast milk to feed their babies. The American government works for corporations, not their people & until this system dismantles, people aren't going to have babies. This is just common sense.

Guy at work told us about a former employee who brutally murdered his wife like 10 yrs ago. I asked him why he killed her, thinking maybe it was a family annihilator deal and he was covering something up. He said, “Well, I think he maybe didn’t like her very much.” Fair enough.

Cognitive dissonance has gotten so bad that people no longer recognize how close they are to poverty and should want better policies in place for low income people. Most of us are one disabling injury away from poverty. Your loyalty should be to class workers, the CEOs are fine.

The point is that if the CEO wants to make more money, they have to pay the part time cleaner more money, bozo. If the company has enough money to pay the executives more than $120k, they have the money to pay the cleaner more than $12k why is that so hard to understand?

Contemporary politics have given people such a bizarre understanding of economical hierarchy. The average person has much more in common with the cleaner than they do the CEO.
