Honestly, I was going to response like most others are probably responding to you, and then I caught myself, and instead, I took a moment to reflect, and believe it or not, I feel badly for you. I feel badly for you because you likely do not hold a position of significant influence over the public, and probably weren't exacting your, what I believer are corrupt and reprehensible, beliefs onto others. Genuinely, I do.

I think the problem is, though, that you think that you are supposed to think and feel that way about another person, and not just that, but that in doing so, you are somehow morally superior. So much so, that you are willing to say it out loud, and not just out loud, but proudly; moreover, you even double-down in your video here. That is very frightening to me that you do not even see or cannot even consider that perhaps it was wrong of you to do what you did.

Charlie was not a bigot, racist, homophobe, transphobe, or any of those things he was accused of being. And even if he was, he was a human man with a heartbeat and a life, a family who loved him, friends and even strangers who learned from him, people who depended on him. But he was none of those awful things, he would speak, and speak kindly, to anyone, and about anything, and he would consider their perspective in points of view.

Would you?

I am inclined to believe that most people who said these awful things do not even know why they hate him, they just heard something off-putting from the news or Stephen King or whomever, but they themselves could not place his voice let alone his words.

The irony is that in general, it is people who identify with the ideology which you seem to hold who hang in strictly copy and paste circles. Perhaps this is what influences you to believe that "everyone" thinks the same way that you do. Sure, maybe your friends don't all "look" like you, but they are you, inside, which is what matters—character, integrity, values, then you get into things like intelligence, ability, etc. but at no point, outside of choosing a partner or spouse, does what someone looks like come into play for most people, not Charlie, not me. It is this group who loves to throw around "straight white male," as if that somehow devalues those things that matter.

You are a victim, not the victim you portray in this video, but a victim of a manufactured consensus thrust upon you and everyone else be a corrupt media driving a narrative that has divided this country into a silent majority and a loud, obnoxious, and, frankly, morally bankrupt minority.

I left some recommended reading for you down below, but these are just my own musings—feel free to skip them as they were written by a straight white male... joking aside there, please engage with others, do your own research, and look for the goodness in people. I will be that with most, you will find it.

You now have an opportunity, you can become bitter, and keep piling on the hate (notice how your scope will continue to get narrower throughout time, something you have probably already seen if you think about it). Or, you know, maybe this can be your "turning point."

Press on, do great things, continue to learn.

I am pulling for you, and I am sure Charlie would be too.
