@US_Stormwatch This is misleading with CA coastal weather. Between Nov-Apr (even as late as June some years), the maritime cloud deck is almost every day, like “Seattle”. Maybe it burns off mid afternoon for a few hours; otherwise damp and cloudy.

@MCCCANM Not only that, their selection criteria is a dated. If you want to fly for the USN, you must have your commission before you turn 27. Why? Because they have a whole 30 year roadmap to O-7+ you must fit into. What if you just want to fly, and skip the flag officer part?

@MCCCANM One thing that would be great to write up on sometime, is the right stuff it takes to be a successful pilot. It’s a long hard road to make it to an ATP or flight instructor. Long days, 4am wake ups. The glamour of it all is nothing without the commitment it takes.
