@liquidprismata I think I feel the same
there are still ways to do this really effectively online (and it's happening and should still be done (e.g. effective info dissemination, work/research groups, fractal spawning of groups etc)) but yeaa i really want community still, been very isolated
@DefenderOfBasic i wonder if you can have several normie floors that all fruit the same. i guess there's some balance between breadth of reach/reception and potency; i wonder what your picture is for
@Actualwebutante i've noticed a lot of relaxation and stomach activity in my abdomen when i do open awareness meditation w/ a bit of intention toward exploring sensation the stomach area. that could help
@danielbrottman i've felt this way abt https://t.co/voohL3A7H5 which i feel like gives affordance for all/many other modalities as just, like, other moves you can use, tools in the toolkit. meta protocol & the wide range of moves (aux practices) is meant afaict to further reduce blind spots
@br___ian what's worked a bit for me is holding these thoughts, playing with them, exploring this self-hatred space,,, while trying to curiously open up to discomfort that's like driving me toward such thoguhts
@br___ian it makes sense that this is actually the case, under the idea of self-hatred being == like putting oneself down preemptively to avoid more pain and/or just dissociation from emotional discomfort (which is a form of protection)
it feels very top-down/abstract tho, non-functional
@br___ian idk,, & its contingent on what "through" means, e.g. maybe persistent self-hatred could lead to some breakthrough
but ive noticed that in sessions of emotional release a lot of self-hating thoughts will evoke emotion and at some point i just naturally hold myself compassionately
@callanable@Naxela2 yes, been living at childhood home for a while, i notice i walk around constantly tense; preemptively brace against "being watched/heard" etc.
@nosilverv this works for yourself as well and is dependent on awareness & knowledge of your action + world feedback
e.g. practicing an instrument, being attuned enough to stop yourself and restart and readjust, possibly going slower or simpler (which can be a bit painful)
@johnnulls tucking subgraphs/groups into anything – lines, I/O ports, little 1:1 resizable views / portals into canvasses, ofc into nodes e.g. as functions...
@johnnulls certain line-drawing algos (incl. line-combining?) might help as well, as well as compressing subgraphs into nodes & having (line-)inlined subgraphs
+1 on editable i/o, e.g. output is a field on a node, or the result of some function on it; set any such outputs
@Westoncb i imagine the function calls could be extracted and then generated too if/assuming they don't already exist. i'm not familiar either. you'd need something to generate `abstract(level, domain)`, `analogize` etc. and i suppose it could do it 0-shot
not sure if i'm on ur track here
a quick sketch of a system i see working well is that you dialog with an agent programmed to draw out gaps in your thinking, ensure what you’re producing aligns with stated goals, etc. It evolves structured specs in background; user sees live projections of spec -> final artifact
@Westoncb i love this thread, i think as a person uses a coding agent when building a product from scratch, a design/spec for the product should be built in tandem and integrate all the user's subsequent messages ("change this", "add this")
