@naledimashishi I may have misread the tone of your original post, that's the idea I was getting at ya.
It's gotten bad, I lived there in the 2ks and I understand it was an uncomfortable level already, but the racial / ethnographic tilt just seems to have propelled things in the 2020s
@BlackWizSA@Alonso_GD You might enjoy a read of Nkrumah's brief "Towards African Unity"
I think it could speak to why you might feel this way today, contrasted with the rise of the ideology around the time this was written https://t.co/fjihlERFq3
@Pietiepietste This has been going since before the 1970's, I don't know why you think crying to the DA after they've had 20 years to do anything about it will make a difference?
@Poseidon_05@jusdcanneberge It's a hypothesis as he said, one that's "still theoretical research" and "always contingent on emerging technology".
It's based on experiments, not assumptions, and he's very clearly exploring this out of interest, rather than insisting he's proven anything.
@Poseidon_05@jusdcanneberge did you read any of the citations? do you know of a metric other than CFF that's an accepted measure of how other species perceive time?
@lelowhatsgood It's crazy, he's full on faking it and all the comments on his videos are like "But do we not consider him getting convincing results out of AI proof of his artistic skill" like COME ON
@uMarhobane > passed over in utter silence here in SA
You're joking? Show ONE local news site that has no frontpage story about government failures?
Not to mention, in SA our first postcolonial government was the National Party in 1961.
@thexchild_ It's likely that it's a real shoot but these are AI-upscaled images (hence the small text going funky on a pure white background, with a white light foreground, but the slightly bigger text being fine on the blue packet)
@CapeTown_Bru The Basson story is about distribution and proliferation of drugs they already knew to be very addictive, and effective at destroying people's lives, rather than inventing anything himself.
@LetsFreeTheCape@helenzille I'm simply making the point that a party-branded piece of perfectly true information aimed at disparaging another party is propaganda, true or not.
But, if you don't think the GRU often stir up campaigns locally you have your head in the sand. Helen is burying the lede as usual.
