@SummonerFlash@bungerfan_27 Not if you ignore that OPTION and play it differently.
Is Baldurs Gate 3 actually a bad game because it lets you save scum dice rolls? Is Elden Ring bad because it lets you cheese bosses with summons?
@SummonerFlash@bungerfan_27 Which would just reshape the activity into something else. Which is the point of having options like that.
Do you think Mina the Hollower is a bad game because it allows you to modify and break the game?
@SummonerFlash@bungerfan_27 No, I’m just correcting someone who says the hoverbike solves everything when this doesn’t apply to the shrines.
It’s generally a pretty pointless thing to argue about though. If you’re given an option that you don’t like, you’re the one to blame if you keep using it.
@SummonerFlash@TheAziH Being able to skip stuff…literally makes it optional content. What are you talking about man? Again, why would MM not have the same issue then, when so much of the game is optional sidequests? Or what about WW, where most of the world and its islands are optional?
@SummonerFlash@bungerfan_27 You're rarely given the parts for the hoverbike and even when you COULD do it, the intended solution is often the faster and more efficient one.
@SummonerFlash@TheAziH Based on your logic, the majority of MM is badly designed because it’s filled to the brim with optional sidequests.
Also, how tf does it matter if you have the OPTION to skip stuff for a more challenging boss? Who says you can keep playing the game afterwards?
@SummonerFlash@TheAziH This option literally gives you a more challenging version of the final boss, while also putting you through a boss gauntlet that you have to specifically prepare for.
@TroyKv All their creative efforts just went to shallow gimmicks that people didn’t really enjoy, like being on a constant timer, an empty ocean that you slowly sail across, turning into a dog for fetchquests or motion controls that barely worked for a lot of people.
