The economy? Well within 1 week we have had three customers have their administrators send in letters to us as they’ve gone into liquidation…..
We’ve had 7 or so within the last month.
This last happened in 2008

told my wife & Ive told my best friend my wildest theory on #trumps next move. Launches a peace keeping effort (#invasion) against Ukraine to “free” them from their “#war mongering #dictator” all so he can have at the very least east #ukraine & their precious #rareearth#minerals
@RepThomasMassie 40 Trillion divide up amongst the 340m population of the US equates to $117k per person, that’s not working person that’s $117k per person, every baby, every disabled person, every old age retired person. This debt is huge #usdebt#financialcrisis#debtcrisis#dollardemise
@robprogressive 2/2 it would take a brave & bold council to get rid of the pedestrianisation, place parking spots all over the centre, encourage people back in. It’s the only way! But theyll delay & scratch their heads as to why the retail parks with free car parking seem to do so well #idiots
@robprogressive North west, death of the high street is in full swing. City centres, the 90s having plentiful footfall have been pedestrianised, made into 1 way systems or the car parks flattened to make way for housing or worse still offices which are now empty due to the WFH revolution. 1/2
@rupephoto Rupert, you’re posting on that magic device which has access to the magic carpet of World Wide Web. “For hundreds of years” we didnt have it. Times change, companies must too. Decent service you talk of, is no longer needed. What can’t you understand about letters going extinct?
5 fields in order to pay off his #iht bill, what happens to the 5 fields? Well the 1st #farmer may be able to lease them from the new landowner, he might not be able to. What’s happened to his operational costs? 👆, what happens to your food shop cost? 👆2/7
wages, double the amount of deliveries to & from the farms. The big question is, who pays for this? I do hope fans of @UKLabour’s ill short term thought out plans don’t start criticising the newly found everyday #food shop on farmers 6/7
The cost of your family shop is going to rise exponentially. Price of your bread will triple, the cost of your chicken will go up 5x & your beef/lamb 6x.
Economies of scale. Not rocket science, common sense. 1x farmer, 25 fields, 400 cows. If he’s forced to sell 1/7
A THREAD🧵
@jeremycorbyn No, no it’s not, the unions you support were strangling RM to the point it couldn’t survive. Laterally not making the competition adhere to the same pricing structures placed RM into a road to oblivion and a death by a thousand cuts.
@icecoldbanger@jeremycorbyn The government also refused to make the likes of whistl, Amazon, TNT (before the fedex buyout) adhere to the same universal service obligation that RM had to. Best yet, allowed those same companies to send the hard to reach stuff with RM and stopped RM from saying no.
@icecoldbanger@jeremycorbyn Look at the historical demands, the pay demands, the holiday demands, the striking of Royal Mail prior to it becoming a PLC. Their union encouraged strangling RM, the government simply couldn’t let it continue. #madeyourownbed
