कोलकाता में जूनियर डॉक्टर के साथ हुई रेप और मर्डर की वीभत्स घटना से पूरा देश स्तब्ध है। उसके साथ हुए क्रूर और अमानवीय कृत्य की परत दर परत जिस तरह खुल कर सामने आ रही ��ै, उससे डॉक्टर्स कम्युनिटी और महिलाओं के बीच असुरक्षा का माहौल है।

पीड़िता को न्याय दिलाने की जगह आरोपियों को बचाने की कोशिश अस्पताल और स्थानीय प्रशासन पर गंभीर प्रश्न खड़े करता है।

इस घटना ने सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया है कि अगर मेडिकल कॉलेज जैसी जगह पर डॉक्टर्स सेफ नहीं हैं तो किस भरोसे अभिभावक अपनी बेटियों को पढ़ने बाहर भेजें? निर्भया केस के बाद बने कठोर क़ानून भी ऐसे अपराधों को रोक पाने में असफल क्यों हैं?

हाथरस से उन्नाव, और कठुआ से लेकर कोलकाता तक महिलाओं के खिलाफ लगातार बढ़ती घटनाओं पर हर दल, हर वर्ग को मिलकर गंभीर ��िचार-विमर्श कर ठोस उपाय करने होंगे।

मैं इस असहनीय कष्ट में पीड़िता के परिवार के साथ खड़ा हूँ। उन्हें हर हाल में न्याय मिले और दोषियों को ऐसी सज़ा मिले जो समाज में एक नजीर की तरह प्रस्तुत की जाए।

For those who are working in private hospitals/nursing homes or personal clinic ensure wearing black band in arm while treating patients and raise the issue at your personal level as much as possible
Those behind this brutal incident shouldn’t be spared at any cost and security of doctors shouldn’t be considered a joke to the government .

END 21st Day OF MY #CLIMATEFAST
I'll be back...
7000 people gathered today.
It was the end of the 1st leg of my fast. Btw 21 days was the longest fast Gandhi ji kept.
From tomorrow women's groups of Ladakh will take it forward with a 10 Days fast, then the youth, then the monks from monasteries... then me again n so on. The journey has only started.
But we still hope n trust we won't have to do all this. Sooner rather than later a sense of responsible leadership will arise in @narendramodi ji n @AmitShah ji
