And that’s the NQT year done and dusted 💪🏼 amazed that I’ve managed it, my class have been amazing, I’ve had fantastic feedback and ended on a promotion - the year couldn’t have been any better! Thanks to my amazing team who helped me through it all, what a journey!
Overwhelmed to say that I have just been interviewed for and offered the position of literacy co-ordinator for my primary school! Amazed to think that I’ve been given the opportunity to lead 20 classes in an international school in literacy in my second year of teaching! 🎉🇦🇪
My class had an amazing time for sports day last week! A nice cool 25 degrees before the summer gets too hot. Loving this crazy place and these wonderful kiddos ⭐️
Amazed that I’ve survived a 17 week term as an NQT! I’ve been amazed with my feedback, I LOVE my team and my kids are superstars - Dubai is alright too! Now for a relaxing three weeks at home in Vienna with my family for a well deserved Christmas break 😍🇦🇪🔜🇦🇹
Today we celebrated Diwali and many of the children wore traditional dress, performed dances and brought in the most delicious food! I also showed my class the Diwali lamp I made on placement last year in @thedellschool and they loved it! Hi to 3SL and Mr Leer from Dubai! 🎉🇦🇪
The kids in my year four class had a brilliant week this week and earned themselves some golden time! They agreed on a football match, but only if I joined in! I did, and had some great fun! Nice to get outside now that the temperature has gone down to a cool 40 degrees 😳
Can’t believe I’m coming to the end of my first month teaching in Dubai! I’ve had a lot of learning curves with both the culture AND my year 4s, but I’m feeling positive about my first NQT observation this week! Bring it on 💪🏼 #NQT#teaching#dubai
Amazing that I got to go back to my SE2 class today to wish them well for their next year - we’ve planned to become partners with my class next year and Skype throughout the year ☺️💕 will miss them all dearly!
