Small farms keep going bankrupt. In the last 5 years farm numbers dropped 3x as fast as farmland area.
Avg farm size increased as number of farms decreased — which may suggest that smaller farms are consolidating into bigger ones.

The Trump administration has argued that higher tariffs would rebalance the United States’ trade deficits with many countries, in what Trump declared a “national emergency.” He used a 1977 emergency law to enact these tariffs, a move now being challenged in the Supreme Court.
