In this AI era, I think one of the biggest mental changes in an indie game developer's mind is simply about shifting the focus from "could I build it?" to "what should I build?"

I'm a huge believer of making content creation as fun as possible, as I think it results in better outcome since the designer will have a more enjoyable time creating and iterating.
In this case I am also the level designer, so all the better reason to make it more fun!
In this video there are clips of some of the tools I've created for this project specifically, although they can be used in future projects too.
Music visualization created in an upcoming Steam game called Ballad
- Any midi works out of the box
- Composing in piano roll made easy
- Recording and sharing anywhere
What do you think?
I'm making an experimental "game" on Steam, where you fiddle around with music by visualizing and "playing" it in many different ways.
What do you think?
I'm making a good ol' shoot'em all
- Flamethrower, minigun, plasma gun...
- Skills, combos, upgrades
- All sorts of enemies and environments
It's called It's All Over. Would you play it?
@gamelawless I think by spreading you mean that it lights up the enemies? There's the flame that comes from the nozzle which is just a particle effect, and then each enemy it touches lights up too
