AC Amudhan M secured the Overall Second Position, while all three officers achieved the top grading, reflecting outstanding professionalism, skill and operational excellence.

Swift Humanitarian Assistance in Kargil

On 02 Aug 2026, following a devastating cloudburst at Gund, Hardass (Kargil) that triggered flash floods, disrupted road connectivity and stranded local residents, troops of the Forever in Operations Division responded swiftly to the emergency.

The troops evacuated affected residents, rendered first aid, distributed drinking water, essential supplies and hot meals, and remained alongside the local community despite challenging conditions. On 03 Aug 2026, in close coordination with the Civil Administration, they assisted in debris clearance and restoration of road, water and electricity connectivity, enabling timely relief to the affected villagers.

#WATCH | Sivasagar, Assam: As floodwaters abruptly entered in Nepali Khuti area, a group of local villagers launched a timely rescue operation and saved many lives across multiple villages.

On of villagers who was engaged in rescue operation, Sohan Chaudhary said, "...We were at home. The water rose with such speed that we left our own home to go and rescue others. Our own people were standing in deep water. We took boats out to save others. We hadn't even realized how much water had entered our own homes... We saved more than 1000 people from around 4-5 villages." (02.08)

From life-saving medicines and medical care to cooked & uncooked ration, clothing and daily-use essentials, relief material was provided to 400+ affected individuals, while a dedicated medical aid camp extended medical succour to 600 patients.

Through challenging conditions and long hours on the ground, our soldiers remained committed to one purpose - to serve, support and stand with the people in their time of need.
