There is a threshold where the serpent rises and the mind splits.

Kundalini is not metaphor. In the old tongue it is Shakti coiled at the base of the spine, the primordial fire that sleeps until the hour of its ascent. For example, assigning yourself a gender and seeing people as male or female (or anything in between) is also an illusion of ego. This shows how deep the sense of ego runs. Only if you truly break this illusory cage, you can experience the universe as it was intended.
