The starting point of any government’s agenda MUST be to treat ALL its citizens with DIGNITY. Anything else devoid of this basic human principle is disingenuous.
But you surely do know of the extractive exploitation model, the coups, the assassinations, the economic sanctions, the price transfers, the loans, the elections…. Or these don’t fit anywhere in this narrative?
Ethiopia was never colonized.
For much of its history, it was one of the poorest countries on the continent.
Meanwhile, Vietnam was colonized by the French, devastated by decades of war, and is now on its way to serious economic prosperity.
If colonialism were the answer to why Africa is poor, Ethiopia should be rich and Vietnam should be broke. Neither is true.
Can we please retire this excuse?
When I advocate for seed sovereignty in Kenya, this example from Nigeria illustrates it perfectly.
Communities must always control, breed, share, sell and exchange their indigenous seeds.
Indigenous seeds have been tested and tried through generations and our climate.
Most Kenyans, even lecturers in the universities and at Jogoo House, believe the same thing as Verwoerd. KICD told us essentially the same thing he said when they brought CBC. All that was different was the language. Instead of saying they want to educate kids for servitude, they called it "practical skills." Instead of saying African kids had no business learning mathematics, they said mathematics is "confusing" and many kids don't have the "talent" for it.
Our education system hasn't stopped being racist. #CBCisheretostay
This woman left a well-paying job in Nairobi last year and went back to Trans Nzoia, where she comes from, to start farming.
She believed farming has good opportunities, even though many young people think it is only for uneducated or rural people.
This year, she got her first harvest. From half an acre of maize, she got about 200 sacks. She sold each sack at around KSh 6,000, making about KSh 1.2 million. After paying her expenses, she was left with more than KSh 800,000 profit in just one month.
Her story is now encouraging many Kenyans to try farming.
Here is something even more interesting:
Earlier today, I exposed that some people and institutions exported 4,892kg of Kenyan human blood and blood fractions in 2024, equivalent to roughly 9,000-11,000 blood donations.
Now here is where it gets even more interesting:
In that same year, Charlene Ruto ran a nationwide blood donation campaign for months, with Kenyans being mobilized across the country to donate blood to save lives.
It was heavily covered by the media.
And now we know blood and blood-related products left the country through export.
And while all this was happening, hospitals across Kenya were still reporting shortages, with families being told to look for donors themselves.
The exporters reportedly made over KSh 20 million from those exports. And that's what is officially captured in some documents, what about the one hidden in documents that aren't public?
That is the contradiction.
Kenyans donate believing they are saving lives locally, yet the blood is being sold abroad, and local patients continue to suffer.
Honestly, I have many questions now.
Some Kenyans are natural thieves.
Dere anatoka Simba cement na 640bags. Anafika site na 540 bags, nikimuuliza 100bags zimeenda wapi anaingia kwa mfuko ananipee 30K.

@Ian_San254 This happened to me once.
I told them what they've delivered (already offloaded) isn't mine and I want it off my site by 9am (that was 7am).
Another truck brought the balance.
Huu ukora disguised as "ujanja" is our biggest problem as a people.
@nyagoh_@MkenyaMzi Awesome! Is it possible to incorporate pH, regularly tested microbes and metals/ chemical impurities testing? Would solve a lot if scaled.
