You're not behind, you're just getting started
Going to leave you with this tonight:
The best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you.
Go outside, travel more, go to new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, go for hikes, see cities, countrysides, take your notebook, speak to people, ask questions, start businesses - go on more side quests.
You can literally just do things, and the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
Night gang.
Some people ask why, at 30+, we suddenly have so many hobbies such as running, pilates, hiking, tennis, padel, golf, etc.
News flash: not everyone was born privileged. Some of us spent our teens & early 20s grinding just to survive. Now we finally have a bit of time and resources to chase the hobbies we love.
the fact nobody saying that sometimes we were just..bored and that's all there was to it. we sat there in boredom. staring at the posters on our walls, the weird patterns on the floor/ceiling. staring at clouds. all these things would come out of boredom.
The thing with trying is, either the thing works and you get to reap the fruits of your ideas or it fails and it stops taking up prime real estate in your brain, and you can move on to better things. Being scared of failing or waiting for the perfect moment is a betrayal of self.
So much of adulthood is just grieving in secret..... grieving ex lovers, grieving dead friendships, grieving your parents sinking into old age, grieving the person you thought you'd grow into, grieving cities you never got to live in, grieving parts of you that couldn't survive.
The older I get, the more I realize how simple a good life really is. Wake up early. Work out. Eat real food, sleep well. Obsess over something that matters. Spend time with loved ones. Avoid drama. Be grateful. You’ll already be healthier and happier than 85% of people.
Sorry but once you start purchasing quality clothes, it’s very hard to go back to shopping fast fashion. The difference in texture on your skin feels completely different!
Anyways I kept my mouth shut about this all day but now that they posted this poor excuse of an apology/explanation…
Let’s talk about this from the perspective of someone who formerly worked in social media for major sports teams and now works in PR:
I don’t mean to sound a million years old, but a lot of artists just don’t have the it factor anymore. But they think they do. And it never really…clicks. But Britney, man, she was so effortlessly sexy and comfortable in her skin…you can’t watch this and not be in awe of her.
