I tried Codex and I don't understand the hype. It's slow and takes odd choices.
- before doing anything it first runs format and lint for no reason.
- Moving a class to a new file removes all comments.
Is it just bad at @dart_lang?
@ThomasBurkhartB Claude Code is unmatched for it's price. The cli is fantastic and their VScode extension is ok.
But innovation is happening everywhere. I really enjoy the inbox in Antigravity, Warp better handles rules and reviews, Cursors Agent View is lit. There is no winner yet

Code generators are great, but come with a cost. You lose flexability, you'd have otherwise by writing the code yourself. You also add a new dependency which - from my experience - always catches you 1-2 years into the project, preventing some update
