@1917_warrior@onlytwo222@stqr_les personally, as someone with PAIS (also ambiguous genitalia), i think it can, though not medically and definitely not it all cases. neither of us speak for all people diagnosed with a DSD
@1917_warrior@onlytwo222@stqr_les intersex can include hormonal imbalances but not always. it definitely a newer thing that is highly debated. personally, as someone with a diagnosed DSD, i believe hormonal imbalances can make someone intersex, but im obviously not a doctor nor do i speak for all intersex people
@PraxisDream@onlytwo222@stqr_les yeah i wasn’t really referring to myself, individuals with hormonal imbalances can be can be considered intersex even if their condition isnt like mine
@PraxisDream@onlytwo222@stqr_les i mean yeah man i never said i wasn’t a male lol, being intersex is a medical condition we both have. having mixed sex characteristics is what makes someone intersex, even if they are also male or female at the end of the day
@1917_warrior@onlytwo222@stqr_les HRT can also effect anatomy, though it obviously isnt a condition like mine that is diagnosable. some people consider hormonal imbalances as a part of being intersex, such as people with PCOS.
@PraxisDream@onlytwo222@stqr_les i was diagnosed with PAIS but many conditions that arent like ours are considered intersex (like pcos for example) bc of the hormone imbalances that it causes. like sorry that not everyone who is intersex has some complex about it lol
@PraxisDream@onlytwo222@stqr_les dude i was also born with an intersex condition. taking HRT quite literally gives you secondary sex characteristics of the opposite sex. they might not have ambiguous genetalia like you or me but they still have something else going on
@onlytwo222@stqr_les you inserted yourself into the original conversation sister idk what to tell you. having trans specific bathrooms would only cause violence against trans people. so instead i advocate for gender neutral bathrooms everywhere, as they are useful to everyone (not just trans people)
@onlytwo222@stqr_les ok then why are you replying to this conversation? like that’s what we were talking about lol 😭 taking HRT makes them intersex and i think trans women should have their own spaces so idk what you want from me.
@onlytwo222@stqr_les ok so that is not at all what i was debating, even if that is a braindead take. what exactly should individuals who suffer from gender dysphoria do for treatment? like if you dont want them to go on HRT then what is the other option? so far nobody has given me an decent answer
@stqr_les all well and good but this still isnt a treatment for gender dysphoria. so what is a treatment for gender dysphoria that isnt just ignoring the core problem? bc gender dysphoria is a disconnect between the brain and body, and trans people are born with this disconnect
people will spend the entire bisexual visibility month, pride month, and the rest of the year calling us rapists, liars, fetishizers, fake queers, invaders, colonizers, israel of LGBTQ+, etc. but as soon as a monosexual steps out of line suddenly "it's okay to be bisexual". ok.🐇
hot(?) take:
i don't really care if most lesbian rhetoric regarding sex generally excludes trans women when we're like 1% of the population. if they're not being explicitly phobic i don't really GAF. u can js let the girls eat pussy without going "erm...what about me???"
@stqr_les ok so like… what do you suggest? 😭 HRT is the proven way to treat it effectively, but if you have some other way then im all ears! and please also provide evidence of it working (therefore no conversion therapy)
