Op-Ed: "The gravest damage was done not by generals or bureaucrats but by judges. The judiciary was meant to be the citizen’s shield — the one institution whose purpose is to say no to power on the authority of law. But it too was a colonial inheritance, and carried the reflex in its bones: under the Raj it had served the sovereign, not the subject, and at independence it transferred that loyalty from the departed Crown to the new establishment, not the people. So when the tanks rolled, the courts, again and again, said yes."

Habib Jalib’s iconic poem, Dastoor, epitomizes his legacy as a fearless voice against tyranny and political hypocrisy. Renowned for rejecting the elitism of the ruling class, Jalib crafted accessible, potent verse that became the heartbeat of public protest. His seminal work, Main Nahin Maanta, remains a powerful symbol of resistance, courageously challenging the censorship and propaganda of the Zia-ul-Haq era.
@Badass1ZQ1 Your statement shows ignorance and maybe jealousy. Their mullas are way way better than ours. Don't be jealous... appreciate what they are doing for their people
@NidaAhm16105291 I still remember when Krishan Nagar changed to Islampura, and I was "wtf", now everything has to pass the so called Islm filter...Islm Ka tadka laga Kar har cheez becho...e.g. Islmy Honey...we are still duffers in this age
BREAKING! US court ha suspended the US sanctions against me!
As the judge says: "Protecting the Freedom of speech is always just the public interest".
Thanks to my daughter and my husband for stepping up to defend me, and everyone who has helped so far.
Together we are One.
@LoneWol63773849@NidaAhm16105291 They have infiltrated in the minds and mindset of the society... that's worrying.... their ways are normalised...and that's terrifying
@NidaAhm16105291 All slogans... for me what about the millions of domestic workers in our homes/informal sector labour. It needs laws and their true implementation..At least we should practice it individually for people who work for us but that's just personal satisfaction but not a solution.
