@femisammy77 @renoomokri Awolowo wasn't Gowon's Prime Minister as position didn't exist. He was Vice Chairman of SMC/Minister of Finance. @adubi0006 @renoomokri Awolowo had a deal with Ojukwu which he reneged after he returned to Lagos and Gowon offered him Vice Chairmanship of SMC. He it was who advised Banjo to withdraw from Ore. He had hoped to become President after Gowon but they played him in 1979 and installed Shagari and Ekwueme.

Ojukwu released Awolowo from Calabar prison where he was jailed by Northern establishment who saw him as a threat same way they see PO today. Awolowo was in Ojukwu's custody in Calabar and Gowon had no capability to release him 1/2

@renoomokri Nzeogwu was not the leader of the Jan 1966 coup. He was merely detailed to led the Northern flank. Ifeajuna and Adegboyega were University graduates and leaders of the coup which Nzeogwu was not. Nzeogwu was a very brave soldier like Maj Gideon Orkar and played same roles 2/2

@renoomokri You need to stop spewing hate and ethnic bigotry. The 1990 failed Orkar coup was composed mostly of minorities from Delta, Benue and Cross River. It was led by Nyam and sponsored by Ogboru. Why is it not called Efik or Urhobo coup? Why only Jan 1966 coup has ethnic identity? 1/2

@renoomokri You should also inform your readers the Jan 1966 coup was foiled by two brave Igbo officers Maj Gen JTU Aguiyi-Ironsi and Lt Col Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. It was an army affair like other coups. Predominance of a single tribe among plotters is probably for assurance of trust 1/2

@renoomokri Major Ademoyega and even Col Fajuyi were allegedly involved in the coup same as Capt Hope Eghagha (Urhobo) John Atom Kpera (Tiv) etc. Ademoyega was placed in the group just as Seyi Makinde was planted in the G-5 to use Nyesom Wike as Patrick Nzeogwu was used

@FS_Yusuf_ What is funny to me is why bo one is interested in Tinubu's NYSC records. According to him, he graduated at age 27 in 1979, so where was his state of national service and place of primary assignment? Where is his discharge certificate or is he immuned or exempted from NYSC?

@wilkoskillz @jcokechukwu Such law if passed will be discriminatory and inconsistent with Nigeria's constitution. You cannot discriminate against Nigerians in Nigeria for reason of their ethnic origin or religion. Any Nigerian by law is free to reside, buy property and do business anywhere in Nigeria.

@opebanwo @PeterBi Dr. I think you're missing the point. Obi will not mount the rostrum on his inauguration day and carelessly announce "subsidy is gone". His well articulated plan was a phased removal of subsidy by first reducing cost and corruption by 50%. They stole election but not Obi's plan.
