Facebook and @RobinhoodApp are the same:
They both trick you into thinking you are the customer. But, in fact, you are the product and your data is the asset.
These assets are then sold to their true customers who pay them money and always at your expense.
STOP BEING TRICKED!
This is unacceptable.
We now need to know more about @RobinhoodApp’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit.
As a member of the Financial Services Cmte, I’d support a hearing if necessary.
SEC should investigate the following:
1. Did Citadel’s hedge funds (Citadel Global Equities and Citadel Wellington) hold any short positions in stocks heavily owned by Robinhood users? And did they increase them in the past few days?
Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says the restrictions placed on high-flying stocks by Robinhood and other platforms demand closer scrutiny, a sentiment that was also backed by Republican Ted Cruz https://t.co/tmwua4Pkpn
And it turns out @RobinhoodApp is the biggest frauds of them all. “Democratizing finance for all” except when we manipulate the market cause too many ordinary people are getting rich
