In 1932 DC cops & the actual army were used to burn the makeshift protest camp of tens of thousands of WWI vets *and their wives and kids*, killing a couple and injuring an unknown number. Cost Hoover the '32 election. But sure J6 was totally unlike anything else in our history.
If you won the lotto today, like a big one, let's say $100M, what's the first thing you'd buy? Don't say paying off debt, I'm talking, what's the very first thing you'd buy.
2016 - rigged.
2020 - not rigged. how dare you say elections are rigged.
2022 - we're going to lose. rigged.

@wccubbison@JYuter So from a public policy perspective
As more guns has unequivocally = fewer murders, wouldn't the smart play be to increase gun ownership?
@wccubbison@JYuter If the rate of murder by guns has increased as you say
Then the rate of murder by all other methods has dropped precipitously as the number of privately owned guns has increased immensely
@JYuter So as public policy and "doing something" it serves not to save anyone, but only to make felons of those who do nothing except refuse to "turn in their guns"
And there will be millions of those
@JYuter Every murder is an affront to God.
But
As public policy.
The ban of 1994 had zero effect.
The vast majority of murders committed with guns were(and are) committed with handguns.
More people (by an order of magnitude) are killed by bludgeoning than with any type of long gun.
