We were delighted to receive a number of free copies of John Dewhirst’s amazing ‘Bradfordiana’ magazine at the cemetery today. Available to purchase from the Lodge, a bargain at only £3 per copy. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the cemetery. https://t.co/2jufZgtmsv.
Fabulous site at the cemetery yesterday. Historic bus tour celebrating the history, heritage and contribution of Bradford’s German population from the Victorian period onwards. A tight squeeze getting that bus through the gates! @davidpendleton0#bradford2025#cityofculture
Thank you @TLRHub and @nearfm for inviting me to speak on medical relief and death in the post-Famine Dublin #workhouses. It was a great conversation & I enjoyed hearing about the audience’s family history. The recording will be released on 29 May #irishhistory#histmed
Day one of The Bradford Progress continues with a sunset performance among the Victorian monuments of Undercliffe Cemetery. FREE EVENT. 8:00pm - 10:00pm. #bradford2025#Bradfordprogress
Today we honour the memory of a Bradford City fire victim, laid to rest in an unmarked grave here at Undercliffe Cemetery. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our volunteers, a permanent memorial now stands in his name — John Hutton — never forgotten.
