I’ve been on the wait list for a family doctor for 7 years. Both Liberal and Conservative governments over that time have run the health system into the ground, so I don’t really expect I’ll ever get one. Time to let someone else steer the ship #peipoli
Premier @dennyking says there is a lack of innovation & ideas to tackle the #peihealthcrisis. He’s gaslighting Islanders. Hang on, this is going to be a journey. 1/16 #peipoli
We've been seeing so many neighbours helping neighbours these past few days and we'd like to help keep it going! We're going to connect people who can volunteer with people who need assistance - volunteer sign up form: https://t.co/CgrebeV7SC
Housing is a human right and homelessness is a policy failure of government. It is a tragedy that Islanders are experiencing homelessness because the @dennyking gov has decided to ignore their situation. 1/7 #peihousingcrisis#peipoli
I don't know why, in "democratic" societies we accept that so many of our workplaces, where we spend so much of our lives, should be so un-democratic. Worker-owned cooperatives bring democracy to the workplace. And they work.
“In a post-pandemic world, platform cooperatives could help to build a fairer, more sustainable economy that works for everyone.” Via @WIREDUK https://t.co/aj4K6LigNI
I really wish our governments would shift the focus in economic development policy away from private/publicly-traded companies (which are profit-driven by definition) to co-ops, especially worker-owned co-ops.
A couple of weeks ago we had our last night at the old family cabin in Kingman's Cove, and it was a gorgeous one. (It's been sold) More photos from my trip to Newfoundland to come. https://t.co/B6XSQMhZfC
Thanks to @nicolammacleod for this detailed @CBCPEI article which provides great context on the history and ongoing story related to what exactly is a "moderate livelihood" fishery #peipoli

Thompson is in the middle of offering to meet with Lund to make improvements for the person she is speaking about. I want the system fixed, interjects Lund.
This happens a lot -- ministers talk about one-offs to handle constituent issues, Opposition pushing for system change
The @peileg just voted down on a motion from @beaton_michele to support paramedics with higher wages and by moving the ambulance service under the public system. It is very clear that only the @peigreencaucus supports the idea of public health care on #PEI#peipoli
If you were premier of PEI, and a union had to anonymize voices in a campaign about poor working conditions, exit surveys highlighted a toxic culture, and your govt only acknowledged problems when they're in the news, would you say it's safe for workers to speak out? #peipoli
This is really well written and really scary.
Dispatch from the Ottawa Front: Sloly is telling you all he's in trouble. Who's listening? https://t.co/Kfio9OSZas
Great read here on adaptation and Canada’s (un)preparedness for climate from @krishessey who talked to several of Canada’s top resilience experts https://t.co/Gpe5SzLFAK
"We have a problem in Canada. We have a systemic failure which allows grotesque racism, anarchy, and foul behaviour to run unchecked in the heart of our country." #peipoli
