@BrophShane We were spoilt in KK with the old system as Cody was open to allowing players back to clubs for periods of time. Both club and intercounty were run hand in hand. Not having a lot of football helped. I'm seeing more and more club players leave each year since start of split season
@DavidBuggy@willocallaghan Split season has already killed the club scene. August and September are all teams have with meaningful games. A few survive long enough to play into October. Bring club months into the intercounty season and take power away from intercounty managers.
@EoinMcDevitt Can't believe this hasn't been debated and discussed before. Football defending is hard enough without allowing lads to handpass balls over the bar
@higginsdavidw@defenceforces Chunk of North KK went into Tipp north gave more balance to population and was always likely Carlow would get 2. Carlow was very close to taking 3 in the end which would have been incredible
Thanks to everyone who attended the unveiling of the new Michael Collins statue on the Grand Parade today and to the Collins 100 Committee & @corkcitycouncil for making it happen! Special thanks also to Cork legends Jimmy Barry Murphy, Ronan O’Gara, Rena Buckley & John Spillane!
@liamkellyrourke @VillageGAA@KilkennyCLG 100% Liam. Games should have been refixed from a player and spectator safety perspective the minute alert was updated to Orange at lunchtime. Thankfully everyone seems to get through our game OK.
@SmallerFishGAA Can't understand how this rule is never debated within football circles. Such a cop out. Couple of all irelands won by a point with lads hand passing a ball over the bar. Good defending not being rewarded by allowing such a simple score. Should only be allowed kick a score
Agri Rural Forum in Callan Thurs 30th at 8pm. This will be an engaging meeting with the public. Excellent line up of Speakers with real topical issues and agenda for discussion. Look forward to seeing you there.
@Jeff_Reinebold@LUFC Bringing my father over from Ireland for his 1st game at Elland Road also. A fan since 1970. A fantastic club and stadium. You'll enjoy
There’s a lot going on over on our Kilkenny Pumpkin Picking page in anticipation of the Hughes Farming Pumpkin Festival, check it out. Lots of new stuff like bungee trampoline, giant slides, food by Azzurro Dunmore East and all on a bigger site.
@CahairOKane1 It shows it for what it always was. Nothing about player welfare. Just easier to manage fixtures when age grade is 17. Stay at 17 and 18s can play adult. Go to 18 and we'll ban them. No sense
@mlverney The were immense Michael. Dont think I've ever been as gutted for a team in my life. They have a great future as do Offaly if they bring that level of commitment and determination as they continue to progress. I know it doesn't seem likely now but bigger days ahead for that group
