@heysandy801 Shopify sent me the survey about the ecosystem, basically what I said was: I love this platform to death, have invested my entire career on it, but I don't see a sustainable future to build a business on it and I would not recommend others to do the same. It's an unfortunate turn
@kimurathomas π I like this idea. It's disappointing that it has come to it but I think it's a good business decision (and I will be following suit with my apps very soon as well)
@eytanseidman I appreciate your responsiveness and communication here, but this is so hard to use. I'd be happy to show my workflow some time. Just makes me actively angry trying to access merchant stores right now. Used to take < 3 seconds from anywhere in my pinned Partners tab
The Shopify dev dashboard is so unintuitive. Before I was able to type a store name into the global search on Partners and see status / login in 2 clicks. Now requires: open dev dash > go to Stores page > click dev stores > click tiny search button > type store > click store name
The past few weeks I've submitted more Shopify Partner violations than I have in my last 10 years in the ecosystem. The floodgates have opened. @ShopifyDevs
@ShopifyDevs (Haven't received a reply to any of them yet)
Still sitting wondering about this app using my (tm pending) app name in their title: https://t.co/5NQwQzU6aX
I reached out to them and they said Shopify said it was okay: "In this case, Shopify approved the use of this wording"
Shopify app devs: is it allowed for a competitor to put my (trademark pending) app name in their app title? eg. this one has Recipe Kit in their app title
@ShopifyDevs Maybe I'll start spamming app names in app titles if this is okay. I didn't even realize that they are using the exact same words as my app title, just moved around π
@malisauskasLT Considering the URGENT email Shopify sends me saying I will get delisted for a small bug fix / UX requirement from random app store reviews, this is such a silly slap on the hand
