Dairy farmer trying to turn grass to milk

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@johnphelan81 Some change in 5 days

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@jhealyq @keenan17 @justymull Don't know when we will see grass like that.. we never go completely brown either and we got 15mm that Monday, only 3 since though, absolutely nothing growing though 😕

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@tommywalsh1010 Are you following a rotation with the paddocks or just feeding in 1 to give the rest a chance? Also is the hulls/pk pre mixed or your own mixing? Normally get away without being too bad here, we'd have a little bit of growth bit nothing left now so assessing my options

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@johnphelan81 Be blown away in 5 minutes 🤷‍♂️

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@Hylo67 After blowing up great sun and wind here in Waterford, hopefully on the way up to ye. Looks like a short window again 🙈

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@AidanAidanmc @bryanjdaniels Thats all I need it for, must see if I can get a demo machine somewhere..

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@AidanAidanmc @bryanjdaniels Sorry to jump in here, Aidan when you say compact what size do you mean? Been looking at a merlo 276 or similar but not sure if its too light for stacking bales etc.?

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@AidanAidanmc Full of P and K, thats want really drives early growth

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@panchdeburca @1noeloconnor Used Fluxyr 200, was done late March last year in ideal conditions and got a great kill including all the clover and mss.. stitched it again a month later but I got very dry do only got a reasonable strike

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@1noeloconnor @panchdeburca Had similar issue with an mss sward last year, you can't over sow in the same year after using forefront T as the residues will stop the clover from germinating or so I was told..

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@justymull Dislike 👎

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@tommywalsh1010 Another week left here, ground is heavier and colder up this way though

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@2pintpaddy @kieran_kigr 1ml into muscle

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@2pintpaddy @kieran_kigr Ya all animals that will be for breeding this year

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@2pintpaddy @kieran_kigr Did mine today Paddy. I'd seriously look into it yet and see if you can get it.. if you get the first shot by 23/24 March you will have the 2nd done before you start breeding. 3 week interval. Potential consequences on fertility are huge if going by what happened in the UK.

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@JerryMoloney1 @keenan17 My last batch were in the lab on 13th and lab estimate is the 22nd 🙈 first 2 batches we're very fast, had cards back by the time calves were 12/14 days

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@CarlowWeather Unbelievable show

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@tomtwine2459 Definitely better than carrying buckets but you'd turn the bloody yoke over in a shot if the ground is any way un even...

[PJ Brennan @patrickjb86]

@1noeloconnor 🤣🤣
