@Crowmaonwellth There’s some true in that, but the societal change from 1958-1992 was unusually rapid, by historical standards. For most of history, 3 decades did not produce very much change, so maybe a bit harsh to call our culture ‘stuck’

@DrewPavlou I think the part about using their own brain + AI affirming their own position + AI being prone to mistakes is pretty reasonable. It’s why I still use AI pretty sparingly, and when I use it for information, I generally check its sources (which often don’t match what AI says)

@disco___cat And I recall learning the UK used to have literally thousands of miles more railway lines than today, so villages that used to be on railway lines are now only accessible by car. Seems a backwards step to me
