Great to hear @nathaniel_avery describe his career the way I do mine. "Very lucky, and arse backward into opportunities".
Most of my career leaps weren't planned at all, just luck. (Or is it preparation meeting opportunity?).
"Do what you love. Find something that you love, figure out who does the thing that you love, and go there. Or go to a place that does a thing that you love poorly. Go there. See if you can make a difference.” — Nate Avery (@nathaniel_avery)

@trunarla I can't make Reddit a better place, but I have added your youtube channel as part of the onboarding for my intern cohort who are all starting in a a week. Though I will expect them to deal with their own spider problems...
@ashleymcnamara Personalised hoody from @jonasrosland and the team at EMC Code a few years back. I can never change my twitter handle because it is embroidered on the sleeve.
@hgsgtk Your presentation talk was understandable and clear. As you've pointed out trying to talk to people at the bar is harder, you had 3 Australians, 2 Americans and a Scotsman to deal with. Just keep practicing. (wait until you hear me try and talk for more than 2 minutes in 日本語)
@davefarley77 The (unem|de)ployment Pipeline is the open tabs to 20 job ads, and the coffees I have with a former colleagues.
I will apply through the pipeline when our "must release on date X because we promised the market this (bug|feature)" release goes sideways. #dumbdefinition#cicd
@CommsNinja It has made me much better at capturing important information somewhere else.
I can't remember the last time I had to search my history to find that article that I read that time...
@CommsNinja How much RAM have you got?
I have adopted what I call tabocalypse. At the start of every week I close all tabs and start again. If it was important I should have written it down and/or bookmarked it.
@Dr_Paul_Penn Anecdotally staff cuts that have resulted in fewer scheduled classes are affecting it too. Students can't get the class times they want, so they have to stick with online offerings.
If you'd like to schedule a time to discuss the challenges you're facing in your organization, need a sounding board, or have something new and insightful to share with me, I'd love to have a conversation.

I ran into @billshortenmp in Heathrow once, and he was kind enough to listen to me rant about the good and the bad of NDIS funding, he offered no platitudes, just understanding. I can't think of anyone better to take charge of getting @NDIS back on track.
ScoMo says he is “blessed” to have two non disabled children. Every child is a blessing. The NDIS is there to help people with disability live their lives to the fullest. The Morrison Gov has slashed NDIS plans for 1000s of children around Australia. Labor will fix the NDIS.
