As I watch the Afghan evacuations, I remember being left behind in Iran in 1979, when everybody I knew fled the country at a time of revolution and war. My twin brother and I were 6 years old. This is the story of what happened after everybody left:
@seattlefoodgeek I'm now trying to picture what strange things you need a 3d model for...
tomato and onion slices for a new CGI flying burger?
a cooking device that uses sous vide, steam and lasers?
all of your furniture, so you can do proper layout experimentation?
While I personally enjoy solving puzzles on a whiteboard, if that's the only way you measure engineering candidates, you'll be missing out on a lot of good hires.
Our goal at Neo is to identify America’s most promising CS students and help them become tomorrow’s tech leaders. This year, we’re rethinking the tech interview, making it more personalized and equitable: you choose how you’re assessed. (Thread 1/...) https://t.co/AFZgFrntep
With the promised wild fire season, we're starting to prepare for Seattle's late summer smoke. @adamdoppelt has a lot of great tips in his guide

Being ready for disaster to strike is good common sense, and at Fresh Chalk, is something our founders take seriously. Here @adamdoppelt shares his recs for building a home emergency kit, so you can have peace of mind: https://t.co/N8CH1d4bci
IM TRYING TO GO TO SPACE & you can help me get there!

@galenward@kirbywinfield@raincityseries My friend @GeoffReiss had m’s season tickets there, which he was nice enough to share. His seats were in the front row, right behind home plate... on the 3rd deck. Amazing view of the game, but caused a little vertigo when standing up to cheer with that low railing.
@robneyer Have you checked to see if it was saved by https://t.co/haQ9g7orvN ? It's got stuff from most sites going back pretty far... https://t.co/Wbjxa7vg4F
If you've ever been curious about domaining, you should read the write up my friend
@adamdoppelt
did. He learned a lot during his 2 year experiment in that world. https://t.co/cutMuXZo2F
