Last week, I handed over the colors and completed my tenure as the 83rd Commander of the 3d US Infantry Regiment @USArmyOldGuard. It was also my last assignment in the Army. Excited for the next steps and what lies ahead.
@USArmyOldGuard & @ArlingtonNatl hosted 16 Honor Flights on Sat - nearly 1,000 WWII, Korean & Vietnam vets. Inspiring people — in their service and beyond. 16 more next Saturday. Very luck to get to meet all of them.
Thanks for the visit, 75th Ranger Regiment! Today, Soldiers from the 75th Ranger Regiment toured the tomb quarters at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in @ArlingtonNatl, and the @USArmy Caisson stables on Fort Myer.

We are excited to host our first Expert Field Medical Badge testing alongside ESB and EIB. Couldn’t do this without the teamwork for Fort Meade’s MEDDAC. Good luck to all the candidates.
Mastering medical care can be the difference between life or death in a combat zone. The #E3B medical lanes test Soldiers on how well they can provide this care to standard, in sequence, when time is of the essence. #EIB#ESB#EFMB#NotJustACeremonialUnit@USArmy
Today marks Day Three of The 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment's #E3B training cycle. All this week the candidates will be honing their skills for next week's testing phase. Stay tuned for more!

When ceremonies are our primary mission, the margin for error is very small. However, among us there are those that perform the best under extreme pressure. #Congratulations to all the winners in TOG's #CeremonialOlympics!

Today kicks of the start of The Old Guards #CeremonialOlympics, a week long competition to build esprit de corps and to identify which element can call themselves the best in TOG. #StayTunned (@USArmy photos by Cpl. Gabriel Bacchus)

TOG is honored to have provided ceremonial support for WWII veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient, former Sen. Bob Dole. Thank you for your acts of courage and service to our Nation.

@realHeathSmith@whatsupdoc82@USArmyOldGuard We’ve learned a lot from the Canadian Ceremonial Guard and made some significant changes to how we operate following the October 22, 2014 killing of Corporal Nathan Cirillo while performing duties posted at the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
@realHeathSmith@whatsupdoc82@USArmyOldGuard The U.S. and Canadian militaries maintain a special relationship. We have a tremendous amount of respect and honor for those who gave their lives and identify for Canada.
