Full-time Scouser doing political things in international development . Former campaigns & politics @GlblCtzn. Tweets are my own (especially the funny ones).
Pathetic performative cowardice. I mean, it's not even a workable lie. A better one would be to pretend it's only the suburbs which are inhabitable, while the centre is lawless. Which obviously wouldn't be true, either, but at least has some remote connection to the actual areas where crime has been going up and down.
Instead they peddle this mad fiction that you can't walk the streets of London after 6pm, like it was 1980s Johannesburg or whatever, when they must KNOW that literally millions of people do this every day and our violent crime statistics have almost never been lower.
Honestly, the new willingness of politicians and pundits on the British right to peddle these mad and blatant lies about their own city, which they see outside their own bloody windows, entirely to curry favour with their American counterparts - who at least have the defence of ignorance - is probably the most contemptible political development of my lifetime.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if they WERE scared to leave the house, but only for fear of people laughing in their faces. What a joke these people are.
@DoctorBenjy Enjoying it the more I play. UI I can get over, will just take a bit of time. The match play and tactics feel so much more responsive, I feel like I’m making an impact with tactic changes mid-game, which wasn’t the case a lot of time with FM24. There’s a gem of a game in there
Spent a couple of hours on the new #FM26 last night. There's a gem in there somewhere, but the UI isn't the best right now, and it's such a buggy beta. The font is tiny on a smaller screen as well, which makes it a pain to use. That match game engine, though 🫶 Roll on Nov
Nothing says you are on the right side of an argument nearly as powerfully as being told you are wrong by Kelvin MacKenzie, Jeremy Kyle and Simon Jordan.
Imagine being 12 years old, loading up Football Manager for the first time, and realising your heroes are finally in the game.
This is why representation matters.
It’s time to dust off the rosettes; it’s party conference season. Here are all the tips and events you’ll need to make the most of each conference from our public affairs manager Paul Abernethy. https://t.co/D8dvvJ2n90
@queenofthesou1 Come back when it’s 49 days. And 50 days. And 51 days. Come back everyday and shout about it, and don’t let anyone take that away from you. 🎉🎉🎉
Some very sad news to bring you.

I’m absolutely heart-broken by this news. The world has lost an amazing person and is a lot worse off without her. Enjoyed working with her, learning from her, rest in power, Claire.
We are heartbroken to share that Claire O’Shea passed away today surrounded by her loved ones.
Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Claire will remember her vibrancy, humour, and incredible determination.

Today we're highlighting the consequences of the PM's decision to slash the International development aid budget.
@Keir_Starmer's aid cuts will kill.
600,000 fewer lives will be saved. That’s nearly the entire population of Glasgow, gone.
