On Holiday at the moment and went for a walk around Berry Head nature reserve early this morning. Big Surprise to see this European Bee-eater for a few quick grab shots. Flew off towards the cafe area.

@GPTorfaen @torfaencouncil @CaerphillyCBC @BlaenauGwentCBC Have a look around Bryn and Cefn Milwr for the idiot persistently riding around on an illegal bike. No lights on it and he never wears a helmet!! Often just rides over the roundabouts instead of around them on Hollybush way.

@SightingDOR Strange to watch this Kestrel chasing Starlings 4 times over a period of 20 mins, without catching any, and then fly in and settle on a post joining the Starlings.

@ajohansenphoto What a beautiful peaceful looking place. The cliffs are my place of relaxation. This is @Bempton_Cliffs a nature reserve approximately 3 miles from home. It’s home to just short of 400.000 seabirds in the breeding season.

Female Marsh Harrier (possibly juvenile) caught a Magpie today and spent some time tearing away at it in the grass. Eventually two Crows came along to chance their luck.

Something a bit different from the birdlife were these Ruddy Darters having fun, and what I believe to be a Blue Tailed Damselfly at Dams Nature reserve.

One of the reserves we visited on our Yorkshire trip last week was a delightful reserve called North Cave. A well kept reserve with some lovely hides. Nice to watch a pair of Common Terns feeding g their chicks.

For a second only the head showed through the fence in the grass, I thought Corncrake, no such luck, instead a female Pheasant with her youngster, and getting photobombed by a pipit. Still nice to see though @GOS_birds #gwentbirds
