Hi @bphillipsonMP, enjoying your summer holiday with your kids?
Spared a thought for the 8,255 children and their families spending theirs desperately searching for new schools—because your policy pushed theirs over the edge?
Among the displaced are 1,025 children with SEND, now without their tailored support.
They’ve lost friendships, stability—and some were mid-GCSEs or A-levels. 💔
Do you even care?

VAT on Education - 'Senior Judges in the Divisional Court ruled today that the Government's VAT measure discriminated against children with special needs without an EHCP.'
The Govt however 'won'- if you like celebrating discrimination - that legally they can add VAT. Morally - not so much. Well done @Keir_Starmer - another clear sign that you care nothing for human rights.
@NatWestBusiness we have been trying to open an account for a limited company for weeks. Everytime we ring we are told we will get a call back. Do you want our business or should we go elsewhere?
It is simply incredulous that an offer like this was ignored. So disrespectful. It can only lead me to believe @bphillipsonMP is tone deaf, arrogant, deluded or all of the above. What we know for certainty is she is no educator and no match for @james_wilding .

@GBNEWS@CamillaTominey Love this interview. The woman is an absolute disgrace and I feel sick to the bottom of my stomach that she really doesn’t care about children
'School closures on a education secretary's watch are a bad thing, aren't they?'
@CamillaTominey asks Bridget Phillipson if she is happy to see private schools closing as a result of Labour policy.

Last night a government source said: ‘The Secretary of State doesn’t need lectures from anyone on importance of a good education for disadvantaged children, she’s lived it.https://t.co/qEpgP9NzJj
And that there is the issue. @bphillipsonMP has a lot to unpack, and her past is clearly raw for her for which I empathise. But she needs to see that it is HER past and HER experience and however difficult that is, she cannot apply that blueprint to other children today. Her story is hers. @EducationNotTax
Plenty anger on the Tory benches, little by way of ideas.
Still clutching to their dire record
Still defending stuck schools
Still protecting uniform racketeers
Still set to cut £1.8 bn from state schools
Labour is cutting costs for parents and driving higher school standards.
“The trouble for smaller prep schools is that the vast majority of their expenditure is on teacher salaries, which are not subject to VAT – so there is nothing to reclaim”

@CenterParcsUK I’ve always shouted about your excellent customer service…now unfortunately I need to shout about your terrible customer service. What has gone wrong with you?
This is simply unacceptable.
Children are transferring into the state sector as a result of government policy, yet there is no plan to ensure continuity of education - even when some will be just weeks from exams.
It is a total dereliction of duty.
@StephenMorganMP@rickyboleto@BBCNewsround Will Labour be reimbursing the funding for state education that they’ve saved for children in private education? We’ve been saving the government money now they’ve destroyed our children’s lives!
