Maybe try '...be free or donation-only'?

@RtoVR These be sad days for VR/XR no matter pricing people complain about it, as Meta's pitiful $300 makes people think "that's good enough" for VR so anything higher simply can't be justified to most people. Plus Meta doesn't believe in PC centric HMD as more margins in closed AIO.
