I’ve been wearing an N95 mask indoors all day because the air quality is dangerous even in the house, so if you were ever like “I’m not sure if I believe in global warming,” fuck you.

@chigginsjmu I'd say the it's the responsibility of any teacher to use any means necessary to ensure that each and every one of their students are learning and improving as best they can. How possible is it for teachers to do this with the limits put on them by school systems?
@GwynethTerry7 The classical music community often accuses pop music of being too simple. Explaining that both classical and popular music are complex in different ways is the best way to encourage students to not view on as inherently better than the other.
@scarlettmued I think that mandatory assignments are important to encourage students to explore music tech. How many of us would have practiced our instruments as beginners, and therefore not developed as musicians if there was no grade or consequence for not doing so?
yes, son, i was a classical percussionist in high school and college! that basically means i played music you wouldn't like on really awesome instruments that you've never heard of, while also having an ego larger than the entire music industry.
Should student exposure to music technology happen before or after first learning to play an instrument? Should technology be supplemental to playing an instrument or should they be treated as equally important?

Republican hypocrisy at its finest: saying that Trump admitting to sexual assault on tape is just “locker room talk,” but scandalizing themselves into faux-outrage when my sis says a curse word in a bar.
GOP lost entitlement to policing women’s behavior a long time ago.
