He was disappointed (naturally, and rightly so), but “gutted” is far from a criticism of Fergie’s decision. In fact, being a pro, he would understand the reason….

At 1-0 down, absolutely the right decision to use the last permitted sub to bring on an attacking forward to try to grab an equaliser.
