L'instant où ils ont cessé d'être des ennemis.

À la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, des hommes qui avaient passé des années à se combattre, à se craindre et à tenter de s'entretuer se sont soudain retrouvés dans un silence presque irréel.

Les fusils étaient toujours là. Les uniformes n'avaient pas changé. Mais quelque chose, lui, avait profondément changé.

L'ennemi d'hier n'était plus qu'un autre être humain, épuisé, brisé par les mêmes souffrances et rescapé du même cauchemar.

Certains se sont serré la main. D'autres se sont enlacés. Beaucoup ont souri ou fondu en larmes.

Pendant quelques instants, l'une des guerres les plus meurtrières de l'histoire ne s'est pas achevée dans le fracas des armes, mais dans le souvenir d'une vérité universelle : au-delà des drapeaux et des conflits, nous partageons tous la même humanité. ❤️
