@Vox_Oculi I don’t think Americans would wear the same clothes as today in this timeline. They would be more conservative looking, probably 1940s-50s. I also think there would be less messy American type items as Japanese influence would be towards minimalism.
@GamewithDave There was a really old game called Vette! which was proto-GTA, San Francisco racing sim where you could run over people and get stopped by the cops. You could give them an excuse from a list, one of which I remember was “I’m late for my son’s birthday party.”
@Joestar_sann I wanted an M4 Mini to run an app that I made. It legitimately uses PyTorch, flask, whisper, etc. My M1 Mini and Raspberry Pi are struggling to keep up. These Openclaw people caused it to be backordered for a month, with some models backordered 4 months. Utterly ridiculous.
At a former job, I told a guy on my team a suggestion that I had. Later, I overheard him in the CEO's office giving him that same suggestion. I was so shook that he'd go behind my back to do this. Then, the CEO told him, "That's a terrible idea! Why would we even do that?"
I am impressed with Japanese efficiency, Toyota Production System. Eliminating “muda”. That’s always been a standard for my work anywhere. No wasteful movements. I like that they take pride in their work at any level.
@pirooooon3 Speaking as a guy from New Jersey, no, this isn’t pizza. It’s really not hard to ferment a good dough in the fridge and make a sauce. Try it some time.
