🚨 Massive controversy erupt in Wadala (East) ahead of #MumbaiMonsoon.
While private contractors were paid crores for mechanical drain cleaning, residents of LBS Nagar & Korba Salt Pans caught them using child laborers to manually haul toxic garbage out of deep nullahs with zero protective equipment.
This isn't just a scam; it’s a criminal violation of child rights. Strict action needed NOW! 🚨

@mister_whistler@BLRAirport@Uber Even Rapido guys do the same. @rapidobikeapp . There is no way you can immediately connect with help line. The chatbot couldn't provide any support. Better use public bus.
India enters the big 5 in manufacturing toppling South Korea. At current growth rates, even considering rupee depreciation, India will displace Japan to become the world's third largest manufacturer (> $1 trillion) by 2029.
Also,
1960: $3 billion -> 2015: $328 billion
2015: $328 billion -> 2025: $781 billion
So India has added as much in manufacturing in the last 10 years as it added in the last 70+ years.
Strait of Hormuz Crisis:
@FSUIINDIA says: “#MTCelestial (off Oman coast): 35-year-old Second Officer Nishanth Uirthanathan (Tamil Nadu) passed away on June 11 after falling seriously ill. His body has remained onboard for over 2 days with no proper refrigeration. Crew is using cold water bottles in a desperate attempt to slow decomposition — a horrifying and health-risking situation.”
Continuing my search for underexplored & less crowded destinations….
We often celebrate Kerala’s backwaters. But on Karnataka’s coast is a hidden gem that deserves equal attention.
The same river that roars over Jog Falls, the Sharavathi River, finally and quietly merges with the Arabian Sea at Honnavar.
Again, not sure if these pics are enhanced, but it’s clear that Honnavar is a magical landscape.
Mangrove forests, winding waterways and mirror-like backwaters.
Since Mangroves are among nature’s most effective coastal defenders, Honnavar’s beauty is matched by its ecological significance.

What’s happening in Bengal is happening in Karnataka too.
A frustrated farmer, after being ignored and denied basic service, ended up slippering a government officer for failing to do his job.
When governance is corrupt and officials stop being responsible, public anger inevitably spills onto the streets.
Ridiculous.
SOTA models can be trained for $10 billion with $5b spent only in getting the top 50 Indian AI brains in the US back to India. Give them $100m each to come back. They will. Add another $5b, create a small city for this endeavor with world class infra and buildings.
India has overtaken the US in having the longest road network in the world as per Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
India is now having 6.7+ million kms of roads, followed by the US at 6.6 million kms, and China 5.5 million kms. India also has the highest road density in the world.
India will continue to lead as India is now adding around 7,000-10,000 kms of highways a year. And will quickly catch up to China in paved roads, where China leads India by 0.5 million kms (India, US come second & third).
10,000 kms of road addition is like laying a road from Tokyo to London every year. This is no joke because if you think post 2020 India's infra boom was spectacular, India has only doubled its investment in infra now compared to 5 years ago.
Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive?
Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members?
Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now?
This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.
India is the second-largest market globally for both ChatGPT and Anthropic. If they can turn off the access at the press of a button like this, we are absolutely at the mercy of a foreign govt. Geopolitics is getting uglier. Globalisation in the current form is dead. This is a huge wakeup call for India.
