#Fake_Flag_Registries_Are_Killing_Seafarer
Hundreds of seafarers’ lives are at risk because of illegal and fraudulent vessel registrations.Shadow tankers operating mainly from the Persian Gulf — many under sanctions — are using fake flags, false P&I certificates and non-existent registries. Recent cases include:• MT Asphalt Star, MT Stellar Ruby & MT Al Jafzia detained in Mumbai for fake documents
• MT Settebello (Palau) – three Indian seafarers killed; P&I certificate allegedly fake
• MT Celestial Sea (claimed Aruba registry) – Second Officer Nishant Urithan died without proper medical support; no valid flag registry foundThese vessels are linked to companies operating from the UAE. Families of the deceased are still fighting for justice and compensation. This is not just a regulatory failure — it is a direct threat to human life at sea.@IMOHQ must act urgently against fake flag registries and shadow fleet operations.#MaritimeSafety #SeafarersLives #FakeFlags #ShadowFleet

#Still_Praying_Stil_Waiting.
The pain is unimaginable.
MT Petro Dolphin hit by a drone on 11 Oct at Sohar Anchorage. Two Indian seafarers still missing — Amit Singh & Bir Bahadur Yadav.
Amit’s family has not moved from prayer, waiting for news that he is safe.
If you can hear and feel their fear, stand with them.
They are still waiting.

Families of seafarers still waiting for their loved ones’ mortal remains.
Seafarer Sumit Singh died onboard M.T. El Gaia in Oman on 13 Sept — 33 days later, remains still not home.
Atul Jaishwal died onboard Jag Akshay in China on 16 Sept — 30 days later, still waiting.
This is not rare. Delays of over a month are common. In one earlier case, more than 20 organs were missing.
We urge @IMOHQ & @IMOSecGen Arsenio Dominguez to push Member States for:
1️⃣ A fast-track dedicated procedure for seafarers’ mortal repatriation
2️⃣ Full respect for foreign seafarers’ remains during autopsy
Seafarers deserve dignity in life and in death.

#PetroDolphin | Over 70 hours since the drone attack on MT Petro Dolphin at Sohar Anchorage (11 Oct, ~11:30 AM local). Two Indian seafarers — Bir Bahadur Yadav & Amit Singh — remain missing. SAR efforts have failed to locate them. Every hour of delay sharply reduces survival chances.
What concrete support is the @IMOHQ expecting from nearby coastal states when on-scene search is failing? Families are losing hope hour by hour, eyes dry with anguish.
It is high time for the IMO to urgently coordinate with Persian Gulf coastal states for:
Arrangement of Medical support within the ports to all states declared HRA
• Deployment of high-intensity SAR teams
• One-window coordination mechanism for seafarers & families @PMOIndia@MEAIndia@narendramodi@shipmin_india @dgshipping_IN
Commercial seafarers are not combatants. Delay is costing lives. Act now.
